Hang in a sheltered position with room to swing clear of walls and window frames. Bring indoors before rain or strong wind.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the paper strip dry and check the hanging cord for wear before use. Store carefully when not in use.

Ships from Japan. Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 business days. Delivery times vary by destination.

U.S. import duties are included. For other destinations, local duties and taxes may be payable on delivery.

Our 30-day commercial return and exchange policy remains available for eligible items. It is separate from your statutory consumer rights. For consumers in France, the statutory withdrawal rules below take priority over any conflicting commercial return condition, exclusion or processing deadline in this policy.

For eligible returns or exchanges, contact us within 30 days of delivery to request a return or exchange. If a piece arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, contact us and we’ll make it right.

Requesting a commercial return or exchange

Contact us within 30 days of delivery at support@zen-kiln.com. Please include your order number and the reason for your request. Do not send an item back until we have confirmed the return instructions.

These instructions apply to commercial returns. Exercising a statutory right of withdrawal does not require our prior approval or a reason for the return.

Conditions for commercial returns

For a standard return, items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. If an item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Return Shipping

For a standard return or exchange, return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility. If the item arrived damaged, defective, or not as described, ZenKiln will cover the reasonable return or replacement cost where applicable.

Return destination: Japan

Returns are sent to our company address in Japan: Nisshin Co., Ltd. (ZenKiln), 3F, Shinjuku Oak Building, 2-16-15 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 151-0053, Japan. For customers outside Japan, this means international return shipping to Japan.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please send clear photos of the item and its packaging with your order number and a short description of the issue. Once the claim is reviewed, we’ll offer an appropriate solution: a replacement, partial refund, or full refund.

Exclusions from our commercial return policy

Custom, personalized, final-sale, or clearly marked non-returnable items can’t be returned unless they arrive damaged, defective, or not as described.

These commercial exclusions do not remove a statutory right of withdrawal. A discount, “final sale” label or “non-returnable” label does not, by itself, exclude that right.

Order Cancellations

To request a cancellation, contact us within 12 hours of purchase. After that, the order may already be in processing or packed for shipment, so cancellation can’t be guaranteed.

This 12-hour window concerns requests to stop order processing. It does not limit any statutory right of withdrawal.

Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, ZenKiln will process it within 5 business days. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time for the credit to appear.

Statutory withdrawal refunds follow the deadlines set out below; they do not depend on a discretionary approval.

Statutory right of withdrawal for consumers in France

You may withdraw from an eligible online purchase without giving a reason within 14 days after you, or a person you designate other than the carrier, receive the goods. For one order delivered in separate shipments, the period runs from receipt of the last item, lot or piece. The day of receipt is not counted. If the deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public or non-working holiday, it extends to the next working day. Any longer period required by law remains applicable.

To withdraw, send an unambiguous statement of your decision before the deadline to support@zen-kiln.com or by post to Nisshin Co., Ltd. (ZenKiln), 3F, Shinjuku Oak Building, 2-16-15 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 151-0053, Japan. You may use the model form below, but it is not compulsory. Please identify the order and goods concerned. No reason or prior approval is required. Keep a copy or other proof of your notice.

Return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal, to the Japan address above. Sending them before that deadline is sufficient. We can help with packing and return instructions, but waiting for our reply does not suspend this deadline. You bear the direct cost of international return shipping to Japan, provided we informed you of this before purchase, unless we agree to cover it. This does not govern returns for faulty or non-conforming goods, for which your applicable statutory rights and our obligations remain unaffected.

You may handle the goods as needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. You are liable only for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose, and only if we properly informed you of your right of withdrawal. Please pack fragile goods securely; using the original packaging is recommended but is not a condition of exercising this statutory right.

We will reimburse all payments we received for the withdrawn contract, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, without undue delay and within 14 days after being informed of your decision. Any extra cost of a more expensive delivery method you expressly selected is not reimbursed. Unless we offer to collect the goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or you provide evidence of sending them back, whichever happens first. We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, with no reimbursement fee.

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, or where another legal exception actually applies. Ordinary ceramic goods are not excluded merely because they are handmade, discounted, labelled final sale or marked non-returnable. Any applicable exception will be disclosed before purchase. These exceptions do not affect statutory remedies for defects or non-conformity.

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
