Hand-painted ceramic furin (Japanese wind chime) from 工房 ゆずりは Yuzuriha — a women-led ceramic studio in Japan — in the workshop's 紅彩花雅 (Kōsai Kaga, "Crimson-Tinted Flower Elegance") pattern. Workshop & tradition
The Yuzuriha workshop is named after 譲り葉 yuzuriha (Daphniphyllum), a sacred Japanese evergreen whose old leaves only fall after the new leaves have grown — a symbol of generational continuity used in Japanese New Year decoration. The workshop is run by women who, in the spirit of the yuzuriha leaf, create ware that is gentle in sensitivity and easy in daily use.
Pattern & design
Kōsai Kaga (紅彩花雅) reads literally as "crimson-tinted flower elegance" — Yuzuriha's persimmon-and-blossom seasonal motif. The composition is built up in soft overlapping layers: pale pink chrysanthemum-style heads sit beside peach daisies and pale-yellow cosmos, with smaller cream and white florets clustered along the base. The stamen centres are picked out in raised enamel dots (visible as a slight bumpy texture under the glaze in the close-up).
