This small Kairo vase has a low, curved opening and a softly uneven shape. Cream Shironeri glaze collects in the combed grooves, giving the surface warmer and lighter areas.

Made by Marui Seito for the Hechimon collection in Shigaraki, it suits a few short stems on a table or shelf. The tall Kairo vase uses the same finish with a loop-shaped top.
