Handmade Mino mushroom-house incense burner

A red mushroom-cap roof covers the hollow body of this small Mino-yaki house. Smoke rises through the chimney, passing cobalt windows, a brown plank door, and a blue-and-yellow bird perched near the roofline.

How to use it safely

  1. Place the green tile on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable materials.
  2. Set a lit incense cone or short incense stick on the round disc, then place the disc on the tile.
  3. Lower the ceramic house over the incense so smoke can leave through the chimney.
  4. Keep the burner attended while incense is lit and allow every piece to cool before handling.

Use in a ventilated area and keep away from children and pets.

Wipe or hand wash gently, then dry thoroughly. Light soot around the chimney is normal and can be wiped away. Variations in shape, glaze pooling, and brushwork reflect the handmade construction.
