A quiet, slow-meal bowl. Two cats — one white silhouette, one dark sienna — sit back-to-back in a sunlit patch of garden, surrounded by hand-painted forget-me-nots, multi-color wildflowers, and tiny fluttering butterflies. Made-to-order in Ishikawa Prefecture by the Kutani-ware workshop Iroe Yu (色絵 遊), from their beloved 陽だまり ("Hidamari" — Sunny Spot) series — now in the small-donburi (小丼) form, paired with the workshop's signature cat mug.
⏳ Made-to-order
This piece is the workshop's original (当社オリジナル商品) and is hand-decorated to order. The supplier's stated lead time is approximately 1 month after order before dispatch from Japan; international shipping time (typically 1–3 weeks) is added on top. If you need a fixed-arrival gift, please message us with your target date before purchasing.
What "Hidamari" means
陽だまり / Hidamari translates as "sunny spot" — the warm patch of afternoon sunlight where a cat will curl up and nap. Iroe Yu's Hidamari series renders that scene without features on the cats — pure silhouette — so the viewer can project their own pets onto the bowl. The two cats here are sitting back-to-back, each one a different color, sharing the same sunbeam.
What's hand-painted on this bowl

- Two small butterflies — one yellow, one white-and-yellow
- Hand-drawn whiskers and tails on each cat
