A white Mount Fuji stands out against the black body of this Kutani lucky cat. Blue waves, chrysanthemums and gold-coloured scrollwork fill the surrounding surface, with raised mori details adding texture.

Made by Chōhō Kiln, the figure raises its right paw—the gesture traditionally associated with financial good fortune. Black maneki neko are also commonly given as symbols of protection from misfortune.

This little guy is absolutely outstanding! It took a little while for him to be made and sent, but he's beautiful, packing and shipping were terrific - no chips or damage.
