This calico Yakushigama cat holds both paws together in an onegai, or wishing, gesture. Black-and-tan patches cross its white porcelain body, with a patterned chirimen fabric collar and three gold-coloured bells.

A coin slot sits on the head. The joined paws can also be read as a gesture of thanks. Each figure is coloured by hand, and the collar pattern varies with the cut of the fabric.
