A loop-shaped top gives this tall Kairo vase its distinctive outline. The cream Shironeri glaze gathers in the combed grooves, bringing out the texture of the handmade surface.

Made by Marui Seito for the Hechimon collection in Shigaraki, it works with a few stems or as an object on a shelf. A smaller Kairo vase shares the same cream finish.

Rinse gently by hand with plain water and dry after use. Avoid detergents, flower-food additives and abrasive cleaning.

Place on a waterproof mat or coaster to protect furniture, and check for moisture beneath the vase when using it with fresh flowers.
