Bring a soft, cheerful touch of Japanese charm into your home with this Kutani ware pink sakura Maneki Neko — a hand-painted ceramic lucky cat figurine made in Japan by Choho Kiln (長峰窯). Its gentle pink glaze and hand-painted cherry blossom design give the traditional beckoning cat a fresh, floral look.

With its right paw raised — the gesture traditionally said to beckon wealth and good fortune — it pairs the classic promise of the beckoning cat with a softer, sakura-season palette.

In Japanese tradition, the color of a Maneki Neko carries its own meaning: pink is said to invite love, romance, and good relationships (良縁, ryoen). A thoughtful piece for a new home, a new relationship, a wedding or anniversary, or any new chapter.

THE MAKER

Chōhō Kiln

長峰 · Ishikawa

Chōhō (長峰, also read Nagamine) is a modern Kutani-yaki kiln in Ishikawa Prefecture known for the Hanazono (花園 flower-garden) pattern and the signature ryōte (両手 both-paws-up) maneki neko series. Distinctive technique: mori-e (盛り絵 raised-line slip) accents over overglaze enamel. Not a coin bank — hollow base only, no money slot.

Independent Kutani kiln; tradition designated 1975
