This large Yakushigama lucky cat raises its right paw and holds a gold-coloured uchide no kozuchi mallet in its left. A patterned chirimen fabric collar, sea bream, crane, turtle and small kittens decorate the figure.

The mallet is traditionally associated with Daikoku, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. The inscription 招福大開運 expresses a wish for good fortune. Each figure is coloured by hand, with small variations in the painted details.

I bought this for my sister’s birthday. It’s absolutely beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. The details of the little cats are wonderful. The seller did a fantastic job on the packaging. I know my sister is going to love it! I might have to get one for myself. Thank you! :)

Absolutely beautiful, better than the description. The small image doesn’t do the detail justice.
