Raised yellow dots and colorful flowers cover this Kutani maneki neko, or Japanese beckoning cat, in a warm copper-orange ground with black patches. A blue collar, gold-tone bell and large bow at the back give the Cha-Mori design detail from every angle.

Made in Japan from porcelain, this lucky cat raises its right paw, a gesture traditionally associated with prosperity. The Mori overglaze decoration adds texture to the flowers, spirals and dotted ground. Slight differences in pattern, color and dimensions may occur between pieces.
