A hand-painted Kutani-yaki (Kutani ware) black maneki-neko — a beckoning "lucky cat" in Kutani ware from Ishikawa. The right paw is raised to invite fortune, a gold bell and a 福 ("good fortune") charm hang at the red collar, and the body is painted in Kutani's five-color gosai palette with gold accents. Across the chest is a snow-capped White Fuji rising over kikusui — chrysanthemums and flowing water — framed by blue seigaiha waves, cherry blossoms, scrolling karakusa vine, and auspicious clouds.
This piece is a METI-certified traditional craft (経済産業省認定伝統工芸品) and ships with its Kutani-yaki authenticity card. The base carries the painter's hand-written signature and an impressed maker's mark.

Good for
A statement piece for collectors of Kutani ware and maneki-neko, a meaningful housewarming or shop-opening gift, or a fortune-and-prosperity accent for an entryway, desk, or display shelf. Each piece is hand-painted, so brushwork and color placement vary slightly — part of its individual character.
