Some lucky cats make you choose — money luck with the right paw, good company with the left. This one refuses to choose: both paws raised high in a joyful "banzai" of welcome, it is said to invite wealth and wonderful people at once.
A Kutani ware white Maneki Neko in the Hanazono ("flower garden") pattern — hand-painted sprays of colorful blossoms over a clean white glaze, by Chōhō Kiln (長峰窯). In Japanese tradition, white is the lucky cat's color of purity, happiness, and fresh starts — which makes this little figure a natural companion for big beginnings: a wedding, an anniversary, a first home, a new venture.

THE MAKER
Chōhō Kiln
長峰 · Ishikawa
Chōhō (長峰, also read Nagamine) is a modern Kutani-yaki kiln in Ishikawa Prefecture known for the Hanazono (花園 flower-garden) pattern and the signature ryōte (両手 both-paws-up) maneki neko series. Distinctive technique: mori-e (盛り絵 raised-line slip) accents over overglaze enamel. Not a coin bank — hollow base only, no money slot.
Independent Kutani kiln; tradition designated 1975
