A round lidded bowl in soft pink, with a band of pearl-like iridescent glaze across the lid and inside the bowl. Pink cherry blossoms sit slightly raised against the shimmering ground, each finished with fine red stamens at the centre.

The blossoms continue inside the bowl, so the pattern still shows with the lid lifted. About 9.7 cm across — sized for small side dishes, and just as good for sweets, chocolates or small accessories on a dressing table.

Arita ware, made in Japan. Colour depth and pattern vary slightly from piece to piece.
