This compact Ginpo Hana Mishima donabe serves approximately one or two people. Its pale floral pattern runs around the lid and body, with two side handles for carrying the pot.

A removable metal heating plate inside the pot enables induction cooking. The pot can also be used on gas, making it a useful size for hot pot, soup and small shared meals. Includes the pot, lid and IH plate.

Care instructions

Follow the supplied instructions for seasoning before first use and for fitting the heating plate. For induction, secure the plate in its correct position; never use it upside down. Use low to medium heat and do not heat the pot empty or use it for deep-frying.

Never put the metal heating plate in a microwave. For microwave or oven use of the ceramic pieces, follow the instructions supplied with this model, including any lid temperature limit.

Allow the pot and plate to cool before handling or washing. Remove the plate for cleaning and hand-wash with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Do not use a dishwasher. Avoid soaking and sudden temperature changes; dry all parts thoroughly before storage. Use oven gloves and a trivet when handling the hot pot.
