ZenKiln is operated by Nisshin Co., Ltd. (株式会社日進), Japan. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean ZenKiln. These terms apply to use of our website and purchases from our store, together with the policies linked below.

Please read these terms before using the website or placing an order. If you do not agree, do not use the website or its services.

1. Using the store

You must be of legal age to enter into a purchase contract in your place of residence. An adult may allow a dependent minor to use the site under their supervision. You must not use the site or our products for unlawful purposes.

2. General conditions

We may refuse or restrict service where necessary to comply with the law, prevent fraud or protect the store and its users. This does not limit obligations arising from an accepted order or applicable consumer law.

You must not copy, sell or exploit our website content without permission, except where permitted by law. For information about personal data and security, see our Privacy Policy.

3. Product information

Descriptions, prices and care information should help you make an informed purchase. If you notice an error or need a detail confirmed, contact us. We correct verified errors; this does not exclude our responsibility for inaccurate or misleading product information.

4. Products and variation

Some products are available only online or in limited quantities. Returns are covered by our Refund Policy and applicable consumer rights.

Some ceramics vary in color, glaze, texture, dimensions or painted pattern. The product description should explain relevant variation. A material mismatch, unsafe condition or defect is not excused by describing an item as handmade. We aim to show colors accurately, although screens can display them differently.

5. Prices and availability

Prices are shown in the currency displayed by the store. Prices and product availability may change. Changes do not remove our obligations for orders already accepted or remedies required by applicable consumer law.

6. Orders and account information

We may need to refuse, limit or cancel an order, for example because an item is unavailable, payment cannot be verified or the order presents a fraud risk. Any cancellation remains subject to applicable law and does not remove an entitlement to a refund.

Provide accurate contact, shipping and payment details, and let us know promptly if they change so that we can process your order and contact you about it.

7. Shipping and customs

Orders ship from Japan. See our Shipping Policy for destinations, charges and estimated processing and delivery times. Estimates are not guaranteed; customs, carrier disruptions, holidays or incorrect address details can cause delays.

For U.S. orders, we cover import duties and taxes under our DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping arrangement. You will not be asked to pay these charges on delivery. For other destinations, buyers are responsible for applicable import charges unless included at checkout or expressly covered by us. This section does not exclude delivery obligations or remedies required by law.

8. Returns and cancellations

Our Refund Policy explains how to request a return, exchange, refund or cancellation. Its standard-return conditions do not limit statutory consumer rights.

9. Third-party tools

Optional tools or services provided by other companies may have their own terms. Review those terms before using the service. We do not control those providers, but this does not exclude any responsibility we have under applicable law.

10. External links

We link to external websites for information or services. Their operators are responsible for their content and practices. A link does not mean that ZenKiln operates that website.

11. Reviews and submissions

If you submit a review for publication, it may appear with the product or store reviews. Any moderation should preserve its meaning. Private support messages and photographs sent to resolve an order issue are not submitted for public use.

Do not submit material that infringes another person’s rights or exposes their private information.

12. Personal information

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes data about visits and purchases and, through Shopify Network Intelligence, uses information from interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to provide services such as advertising and personalization. Information is shared with Shopify and other providers, which may be located in other countries. See our Privacy Policy for details and privacy choices.

13. Corrections

We may correct errors in product descriptions, prices, promotions, shipping charges or availability. A correction does not automatically change an accepted order or remove rights that apply to it.

14. Prohibited uses

Do not use the website to break the law, infringe intellectual property rights, send malicious code or phishing messages, collect other people’s personal information without authorization, or interfere with the site’s security or operation. We may restrict access to address these activities.

15. Website availability and consumer rights

We cannot guarantee that the website will always be available or free of errors. Products remain subject to applicable consumer guarantees and the descriptions and promises made at the time of sale.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, consumer guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms do not waive statutory remedies for faulty, unsafe or misdescribed goods.

16. Claims arising from misuse

You may be responsible under applicable law for claims or losses caused by your unlawful use of the site or infringement of another person’s rights. This does not require you to cover losses caused by our own breach of legal duties or waive consumer protections.

17. If a term is unenforceable

If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

18. Ending use of the site

You can stop using the site at any time. We may restrict access for a breach of these terms or a security risk. Ending access does not remove obligations or consumer rights relating to an existing order.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page. Updates do not remove rights or obligations relating to purchases already made.
