Chōhō pink sakura Maneki Neko

Pink overglaze and hand-painted cherry blossoms cover this 11.5 cm Kutani lucky cat from Chōhō Kiln. The raised right paw, white face, gold bell, and compact floral body give the figure a clear front-facing silhouette.

THE MAKER

Chōhō Kiln

長峰 · Ishikawa

Chōhō (長峰, also read Nagamine) is a modern Kutani-yaki kiln in Ishikawa Prefecture known for the Hanazono (花園 flower-garden) pattern and the signature ryōte (両手 both-paws-up) maneki neko series. Distinctive technique: mori-e (盛り絵 raised-line slip) accents over overglaze enamel. Not a coin bank — hollow base only, no money slot.

Independent Kutani kiln; tradition designated 1975
