Seven lucky cats aboard a Seto treasure ship

Seven differently coloured cats fill the deck of this cream-and-gold takarabune. A gold 宝 seal marks the sail, while a red sea bream, koban coin, blue jewel, harvest motifs, and turquoise waves carry the decoration around the 16.5 cm form.

The traditional takarabune carries the Seven Lucky Gods. This version recasts the group as seven Maneki Neko, keeping the treasure-ship structure while changing its passengers.

The paulownia-wood ema reads 開運宝船, “lucky treasure ship.” Keep it dry. Dust the ceramic with a soft cloth and handle the seven applied cats carefully, as they are the most delicate parts.

Care instructions

For decorative use. The seven small ceramic cats sit loose on the deck rather than being fixed in place; lift and arrange them individually, and remove them before moving the ship. Handle each figure carefully to protect the hand-painted surface.
Keep the wooden ema tag dry; do not expose it to moisture.
Dust the ceramic gently with a soft, dry cloth.
The red felt zabuton can be lightly brushed clean.
Slight variations in brushwork and color placement are part of each piece's individual character.
