A pale glaze covers the upper part of this tall Shigaraki vase, giving way to a dark base. Its name, Zansetsu, means “lingering snow.” The flower-shaped opening adds a scalloped edge to the otherwise simple form.

Made in Japan by Marui Seito for its Hechimon line. Each vase is handmade, so the shape and glaze vary slightly from piece to piece. Supplied in an individual box.
