Eizan (栄山) is a modern Kutani-yaki kiln in Ishikawa Prefecture specialising in the Kinrande (金襴手 gold-brocade) technique — a heavy gold ground with gosai polychrome overglaze in geometric sayagata and sippo collar bands. Eizan's signature motif is the auspicious pairing of iroe botan-kujaku (色絵牡丹孔雀 peony + peacock). Matched red-square 九谷栄山 seals on every piece of a multi-piece set confirm set integrity.
