Arita and Hasami camellia tea set in ruri blue

This tea-for-two set pairs a 410 ml kyusu with two sencha cups. White and red camellias are painted over a deep ruri, or lapis-blue, glaze; the design is named Yūsai Tsubaki, “glaze-colour camellia.”

Care instructions

Microwave and dishwasher use are approved by the maker. To keep the hand-painted camellias vivid for years, we still suggest gentle hand-washing when convenient.

Rinse the teapot well after use and let the built-in strainer area dry thoroughly. One honest note from the maker: the outer base is left unglazed by necessity of the firing process, so slight darkening may appear there over time — a normal trait of this ware.

Because each piece is hand-painted, slight differences in brushwork, color, and glaze tone are part of its individual character.

Returns / damage support

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery for eligible items. For a standard return or exchange, return shipping is the buyer's responsibility, and items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
