- Painter: Yūhō (勇峰), signed on the base

- Material: Ceramic with coloured decoration, gold pigment, and gold-leaf accents
- Size: Approximately 24.5 cm high
- Included: Paulownia wood presentation box
Why this vase is distinctive
The dark ground gives the white cranes and bare branches strong separation, while the gold cloud and scattered leaf accents change with the light. The composition reads clearly from across a room but rewards a closer view of the painted feathers, winter trees, and signed foot.
For flowers or display
Use it empty, with a dry branch, or with a waterproof inner vessel. The available maker information does not confirm that the body is watertight, so do not place fresh water directly inside unless you have independently tested it. For fresh flowers, a slim insert protects both the vase and the surface beneath it.
Care
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid detergent, abrasive cloths, soaking, sudden temperature changes, and direct cleaning on the gold areas. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the painted and metallic finish.
Shipping, duties, and returns
Ships from Japan, usually within 1–3 business days, with tracked delivery and protective packing around the paulownia box. Delivery time varies by destination and customs clearance. Import duties, VAT, and local taxes are the buyer’s responsibility where charged.
Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original condition and packaging; standard return shipping is paid by the buyer. Care instructions
Care instructions
For decorative and floral display.
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and the dishwasher.
The kinpaku-chirashi 金箔散 (sprinkled gold-leaf) accents on the lower-register tree branches and the kingumo 金雲 airbrushed gold-cloud band on the upper register are delicate — clean around the gold areas, never directly on them.
If using with fresh flowers, empty and dry the interior thoroughly between arrangements to protect the surface and prevent mineral residue.
Avoid sudden temperature changes and direct sunlight to preserve the painted finish.
