Hechimon Tama vase in two Shigaraki glazes
This round 17 cm vase by Marui Seitō’s Hechimon line uses the Tama, or orb, form. Fine vertical kakitsuke drag lines run from the circular mouth toward the base, giving the spherical body a directional surface.
Two glaze variants are available. Seiran covers the form in matte turquoise, with the dark clay visible inside the mouth. Hakutessa uses a cream-white glaze with iron flecks and a feathered edge around the opening that reveals the warmer clay beneath.
Maker: Marui Seitō (丸伊製陶), Hechimon line
Ware: Shigaraki-yaki ceramic, Shiga Prefecture, Japan
Form: Tama spherical vase
Variants: Seiran turquoise or Hakutessa white
Dimensions: approximately 17 cm wide × 17 cm deep × 16 cm high
For flowers or an empty shelf
The small circular opening supports a single stem, a compact group of flowers, or a light branch arrangement. The orb form can also be displayed without flowers, where the incised lines and glaze remain the focus.

Care instructions
Care instructions
Hand-wash with a soft cloth and lukewarm water only.
Do NOT use detergent — it breaks down the water-leakage treatment.
Place on a mat or coaster when using with water.
Avoid sudden temperature changes — condensation can form.
For ikebana use, prefer a small kenzan or single stem; do not drop heavy stems into the round mouth.
Hand-made variations in glaze depth, speckle distribution, drag-line pattern, and (for Hakutessa) the fringed rim placement are normal and not defects.
