This 1.3 litre Banko earthenware donabe by Ginpo is made for one or two people. Rows of chrysanthemum-like relief form the Hana-Mishima pattern beneath a cream-grey glaze, while the foot remains warm terracotta.
A detachable 18-8 stainless-steel plate allows the pot to work on induction as well as direct gas flame, a radiant heater, or in the oven. Keep the plate fitted for IH cooking; it may be removed for the other listed heat sources.

Care instructions
Care instructions
Season before first use (medome): fill ~80% with water, add a few tablespoons of rice flour or cooked rice, simmer gently ~5 minutes on low, then cool, rinse, and dry fully — this seals the porous clay.
Hand wash only — never use the dishwasher. Remove the stainless heating plate before washing the pot. Dry the earthenware body completely before storing to avoid odor or mold.
Avoid sudden temperature changes and never heat the pot empty or use it for deep-frying. Light staining and seasoning over time are normal for earthenware. Not for microwave use.
