A white cat and a dark cat sit together on this Kutani matcha bowl by Iroe Yu, looking toward small blue flowers and pale butterflies. The scene belongs to the workshop’s Hidamari, or “sunlit spot,” series.

A pale painted panel contrasts with the speckled grey glaze around the rest of the bowl. The open shape leaves room for a bamboo whisk when preparing matcha.

Hand-painted lines and colours vary slightly between bowls. A wooden presentation box is included.
